Founded in 1986, the Pohang University of Science and Technology is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Pohang (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), North Gyeongsang. Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
