Established in 1993, the Hogeschool Utrecht (HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium city of Utrecht (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Amersfoort. Officially recognized by the Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders), Hogeschool Utrecht (HU) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational Dutch higher education institution.
