Founded in 1999, the University of the Gambia is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the medium city of Serekunda (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Banjul. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology of Gambia, University of the Gambia (UTG) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational Gambian higher education institution.
