Established in 1972, the Roskilde Universitet (Roskilde University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Roskilde (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Region Zealand. Officially recognized by the Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet (Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Denmark), Roskilde Universitet (RUC) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 6,000-6,999 students) coeducational Danish higher education institution. Roskilde Universitet (RUC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
