Overview

The International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) is a global non-profit organization that brings together university presidents and other higher education leaders from around the world to exchange ideas, collaborate on research and promote best practices in higher education.

The IAUP was founded in 1964 and is based in New York City, with a membership of over 600 university presidents and higher education leaders from more than 130 countries. The organization is governed by an executive committee and a board of directors, who are elected by the membership.
