Overview

The Asociación de Universidades e Institutos de Investigación del Caribe (Association of Universities and Research Institutes of the Caribbean) is a regional organization that brings together universities and research institutes from the Caribbean region. The organization was founded in 1988 with the aim of promoting cooperation and collaboration among its members in the areas of research, education and development.

The association currently has 25 member institutions from 14 countries in the Caribbean region, including universities, research institutes and other higher education institutions. Its members are committed to promoting academic excellence, research and innovation in the region and to contributing to the social and economic development of their respective countries.

The role of the Asociación de Universidades e Institutos de Investigación del Caribe in higher education is to provide a platform for its members to share knowledge, resources and best practices in teaching, research and innovation.
