Founded in 2002, the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación, ANECA) is a government agency in Spain responsible for evaluating and accrediting the quality of higher education institutions and programs. ANECA was established in 2002 and is responsible for developing and implementing evaluation and accreditation procedures for universities and other higher education institutions in Spain.
