  • being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate Colombian higher education-related organization
  • offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees)
  • delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format

2021 Sub-rankings by departments New

The Republic of Colombia is divided into 32 departments (Spanish: departamentos), which are further subdivided into provinces (Spanish: provincias) or municipalities (Spanish: municipios), and Bogotá the autonomous capital and largest city of Colombia, administered as the Capital District (Spanish: Distrito Capital). The greater number of higher education institutions meeting the uniRank selection criteria are located in the Bogotá Capital District. The following uniRank sub-rankings or league tables take into account all departments which include at least 2 Colombian higher education institutions meeting the uniRank selection criteria.
