What are the most popular Universities in Chile? uniRank tries to answer this question by publishing the 2023 Chilean University Ranking of 55 Chilean higher-education institutions meeting the following uniRank selection criteria:

  • being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate Chilean higher education-related organization
  • offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees)
  • delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format

The Republic of Chile is divided into 16 regions (Spanish: regiones) which are further subdivided into provinces and communes. The vast majority of higher education institutions meeting the uniRank selection criteria are located in the Santiago Metropolitan Region (Spanish: Region Metropolitana de Santiago), where there is the nation's capital, Santiago. The following uniRank league tables or sub-rankings take into account all regions which include at least 2 Chilean higher education institutions meeting the uniRank selection criteria.
