Established in 1983, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (English: International Islamic University Malaysia) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the large city of Kuala Lumpur (population range: 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution has also branch campuses in the following locations: Gombak. Officially accredited/recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (English: Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (IIUM) is a large (enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (IIUM) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 33 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. IIUM also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sport facilities and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
