Established in 1999, Great Zimbabwe University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the large town of Masvingo (population range: 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Zimbabwe, Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) is a small (enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 17 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.
