Founded in 2000, Universitas Swiss German (English: Swiss German University) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the large city of Tangerang (population range: 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Banten. Officially accredited/recognized by the Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi (English: Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Swiss German (SGU) is a very small (enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Universitas Swiss German (SGU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 16 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 50-60% making this Indonesian higher education organization a averagely selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. SGU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sport facilities and/or activities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
