Founded in 1981, Université du Québec en Outaouais (University of Québec in Outaouais) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the small city of Gatineau (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Quebec. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministre de l'Éducation, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, Québec (English: Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, Quebec), Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) is a small (enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
