Founded in 1946, University of the Cordilleras is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the small city of Baguio City (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Cordillera Administrative Region. Officially accredited/recognized by the Commission on Higher Education, Philippines, University of the Cordilleras (UC) is a large (enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of the Cordilleras (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 70 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sport facilities and/or activities, financial aids and/or scholarships, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
