Founded in 1947, University of Maryland University College is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of Adelphi (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Maryland. Officially accredited/recognized by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is a very large (enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Maryland University College (UMUC) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study.
