Founded in 1876, Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (National University of Engineering) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the metropolis of Lima (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, Peru (English: Ministry of Education, Peru), Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) is a medium-sized (enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 140 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
