Founded in 1980, Divine Word University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of Madang (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Papua New Guinea, Divine Word University (DWU) is a small (enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Divine Word University (DWU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 36 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
