Founded in 1954, Universitas Airlangga (English: Airlangga University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large city of Surabaya (population range: 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially accredited/recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (English: Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is a large (enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution.
