Founded in 1959, Zaporozhye State Medical University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Zaporizhia (population range: 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Zaporizhia Oblast. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Zaporozhye State Medical University (ZSMU) is a very small (enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational higher education institution.
