Founded in 1986, Universitas Islam Darul Ulum (English: Darul Ulum Islamic University) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the rural setting of the large city of Lamongan (population range: 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially accredited/recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (English: Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia), Universitas Islam Darul Ulum (UNISDA) is a small (enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Islam Darul Ulum (UNISDA) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 30 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Indonesian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UNISDA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sport facilities and/or activities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
