Established in 2004, Gombe State University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large town of Gombe (population range: 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria, Gombe State University (GSU) is a very small (enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Gombe State University (GSU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 12 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
