Established in 1982, Instituto Tecnológico del Cibao Oriental (English: Cibao Oriental Institute of Technology) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the suburban setting of the large town of Cotuí (population range: 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Sanchez Ramirez. Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, República Dominicana (English: Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Dominican Republic), Instituto Tecnológico del Cibao Oriental (ITECO) is a small (enrollment range: 4,000-4,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Instituto Tecnológico del Cibao Oriental (ITECO) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as associate degrees, bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
