Established in 1954, The Ivy League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising of eight prestigious private universities in the northeastern United States. The eight universities are Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.

The Ivy League is known for its academic excellence and rigorous admission standards, as well as its strong athletic programs. The Ivy League universities are highly selective and their students are among the most academically accomplished in the world. They offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across many disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, sciences and engineering.
