TU Austria is a network of the five leading technical universities in Austria, established in 2018. The member universities of TU Austria are Vienna University of Technology, Graz University of Technology, Montanuniversität Leoben, Johannes Kepler University Linz and Technische Universität Innsbruck.

The primary objective of TU Austria is to promote collaboration and knowledge transfer between its member universities. The network aims to strengthen the research capabilities of its member universities, to enhance their competitiveness and reputation and to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

One of the key roles of TU Austria is to promote interdisciplinary research collaboration between its member universities. The network supports joint research initiatives and projects that involve researchers from different disciplines and universities. This allows for a broader range of perspectives and expertise to be brought to bear on research problems and encourages innovation and creativity in research.

Another important role of TU Austria is to facilitate the exchange of students and staff between its member universities.
